Professional woodworker tries Hitachi 60 tooth carbide

I have a bench mounted sliding compound miter saw in my shop that is used every day for everything from chopping off boards for shipment to fine miters on crown moulding, so I go through a lot of blades. I found that all my "good" blades were dull and needed to be sent out for sharpening so I bought the "cheaper" Hitachi to get me by until my sharpened blades were returned. I found it to cut as nicely as my higher priced blades and is still on the saw - even after sawing through a 16 penny nail by accident. It seems to possibly have a tiny bit of wobble but does not show up in the smooth cut. The price of this blade is just slightly more than I pay to have a blade sharpened so I consider it an excellent value.
pretty good deal and delivery was fast and easy to jobsite!

The title says it all. worked well got the ob done with some beauty and speed. Installed 2 flights of custom white oak stairs with hardwood flooring over original fir staircase. It's cheaper with time load to buy blades than sharpen them. Sad commentary on local sharpening prices in Marin.
Great Blade at a Great Price

I originally was going to go with the Diablo blade but found this one and decided to give it a try. While I've only had the Hitachi blade for a couple of months so only time will tell if it holds up as long as a Diablo blade will, for now I've put this Hitachi blade through a lot of use while building a completely new bathroom and this Hitachi blade has been great. It makes very quick, smooth, fine finished cuts and has a blade that it a bit thinner which makes it easier to be right on target with your measured cuts. From my experience with this blade I will tell you that you will not notice any difference between this blade and a Diablo blade that retails at twice the price. I think it's a great value for the price.
This is a good saw blade, but...

...it doesn't hold a candle to the Freud D0860S Diablo 8-1/2-Inch 60 Tooth Fine Finishing Miter Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor. The Freud, with the laser-cut expansion and resonance-dampening slots, runs quieter and cuts smoother than this blade. It's worth the difference in price...especially since a saw blade is NOT the place to save money on a project!
Good buy

This is a good buy. It can cost way more in other hardware stores. Works well and precise. It does a good job. Very pleased.
